Last Night,

I read a real-life love story.
Two people, a great distance between them,
infatuated with eachother, new and shiny love,
everything still to be discovered.

For a brief moment I longed for that 'newness'.
Then it dawned on me that we have something more.

We have history.
We have an understanding
and a love that only comes with years of practice.
We know each others faces,
each others habits,
each others quirks.
We know how to read a bad mood
and inspire good.

We know each other,
and we created her, together.

Newness ain't got nothin on us.

Excellent insights Jen,and very true. With alittle more time to reflect on what I have, for me, it's also to remember to keep things New as well. Too comfortable, too routine, or even too much of a good thing can lead to complacency and the mundane. As you have shown through your blog and through your living example finding the New each day keeps it fresh, alive, and forward looking. If we all do this each day, find the New, it will allow us to build upon that foudation of what we have built and keep growing. Thank you for your insights and Love.
